Here are some examples of the volunteer work I have done to obtain my TEFL Certificate.
English Mock Interviews
Volunteer
In Fall 2020 I worked with graduate students from Paul Sabatier University - a French university, in the Academy of Toulouse. In order to help them with their English, I asked them mock interview questions so they could practice and prepare their answers for future interviews in English.
English Language Institute
Volunteer
In order to complete my Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate, I volunteered at UCF's English Language Institute to help non-native English speakers improve on their English conversation and fluency.
I worked with students in-person and then virtually due to COVID.
Orange County Public Schools
Volunteer
In Fall 2019 I worked with two Spanish speaking students at Deerwood Elementary School. These two students had recently immigrated to America, so I needed to help them understand their courses while also helping them improve their English. For my class, I finished a Service Learning Culture Project that reflected on my time working with those students.
